Queque – this dreamy, amazing architectural Pioneer Square Lifestyle Session. Their home was fighting for the main character. Come along to see who won.
Initially, these two reahed out about having me document their San Juan Island wedding that coming summer. At the time I was not available but my soul was calling for us to work together no matter what.
I arrived early on a rainy Saturday morning – around 7am. We started the morning meeting next door to my favorite place to eat in the city; The London Plane. Shiva and Micah brought me up and offered me the most delicious tea and snacks. Their space was warm and welcoming. I instantly felt inspired in their space and was greeted with the aroma of the left over smells of an early morning breakfast mixed with an incense still currently burning.
The first thing that caught my eye was the art throughout the space. Textiles, clothing on hangers, a painting on a easel in the process of being created. I was enthralled and ready to create art of my own in this space. This is the best feeling.
We spent the morning together. The two of them read from their favorite books as if I didn’t exist in the room. They snacked, they laughed. They kicked off their slippers.
This is when and where documenting moments like this feels the most natural for me. When I feel invisible, and can silently direct and capture couples in their most, honest and natural lifestyle moments.
Nearing the end of the session we we warm so we stepped outside to catch a cool breeze and to document an unusually quiet Seattle morning. Hardly anyone else was on the streets. We ended with grabbing an iced coffee + and I headed home. All in a days works before 9am. I call it a major win.
