Seattle Lifestyle Photographer
Capturing you and your family at your most comfortable, your most authentic, your most you.
Capturing the
Nostalgia of Now
When it comes to photographing you and your family, I do things a little differently. Because photography isn’t about an image. It’s not about perfect poses or fake smiles or artificial vibes. It’s a perfectly imperfect retelling of life. It’s about stopping time, when it feels like it’s moving too fast, catching people in their most human form, and moving people with absolute stillness.
Photography is about trust, and comfort, and empathy. And that’s what I bring as a Seattle lifestyle photographer. Every session. Every picture. Every family.
What I Do
-
The magic of analog film is that it can’t be replicated. Where digital allows for repetition, film is about capturing an exact moment. During our time together we’ll make our way through two rolls of 35MM film. In the end, you’ll get beautiful, nostalgic looking pictures that feel like going through an old photobook, and take you right back to the great time we had creating them.
-
Digital photography lets us capture those unplanned, unexpected moments. It also involves editing on the back end, to tweak and enhance–but never to distort or change the moment we captured. Digital photography is clean, crispy and allows this Seattle lifestyle photographer to move quickly and miss nothing.

You remember the feeling of sitting together and watching home movies? Let’s bring it back with some dreamy Super 8 footage. I know what you’re thinking–”that's not photography,” and you’re right. Super 8 is groovy, cropped-off, lo-fi motion film that’ll capture the moment and the vibe in a way you’ll want to watch over and over and over. And now you can!

photoshoot Day
Photo day is here, and you only need to worry about being comfortable and having a great time because the rest is taken care of. I’ll be there every step of the way, capturing all the intimate, fun-loving, tender moments so you can relive them long after.
Lifestyle Questionnaire
In the weeks leading up to your session, you’ll receive an in-depth questionnaire asking all the juicy details I’ll need for our time together. This is one of my favorite parts of the process because it helps me know what’s what and who’s who, and it means you don’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of your photoshoot.
after our photoshoot
Behind the scenes I get to work on sending off your film, scanning your polaroids, and meticulously choosing and curating your images together to tell your story. Sometimes it’s not perfect. But It’s your story, and I am honored to tell it. I look forward to making each session with every family different and true to them.
week of our session
In the days leading up to your session, we will check in and confirm all details to ensure we’re 100% on the same page. I will send you some inspiration for your session, and if you have any last-minute questions, I will make sure they are answered.
Final Files
Just one - two months after your photoshoot day, you’ll get to relive the magic all over again when you get a link with all of your images straight to your inbox. Once you have your images I highly encourage you to print and make tangible art from them.

One of the things I’ve noticed with kids is that they generally require time and space when experiencing challenging emotions. I want to remove all pressure from the session for you and your child by being flexible and encouraging those micro moments away so we can reconnect with them and bring the shoot back into a good energy.
-
I recommend avoiding bright logos/distracting patterns for our shoot together so we can keep the focus on you and your family. Most families tend to be happiest when embracing neutral palettes and color tones but I also want to encourage you to select what makes your family feel best.
-
100%. I encourage it. I sometimes recommend bringing a helper, though.

I always encourage embracing the weather since I can shoot in any light. As long as it is safe and there is no risk of damaging my gear, we typically will move forward with our shoot.
However, your comfort is a priority for me. Rescheduling is an option for those who are uncertain about challenging conditions.
My only request is you come to the shoot open to let me collaborate with you so we can help draw out the best and most authentic parts of you and your loved ones perso’ personalities.
