Seattle Film Photographer

Capturing you and your family at your most comfortable, your most authentic, your most you.

Life Like You Remember
It On Analog Film

Our world is so overly produced and edited. As a Seattle film photographer I’m committed to preserving the traditional art of analog photography. I want to start the movement toward imperfect photography that tells the most authentic stories and expresses genuine joy. When it comes to photographing you and your family, I want to set the precedent for more honest photography.

Every session. Every picture. Every family. Every wedding. I want them to all feel that feeling of nostalgia we felt as kids diving into our families old photo albums filled with film photographs.

What I Do

  • The magic of analog film is that it can’t be replicated. Where digital allows for repetition, film is about capturing an exact moment. During our time together we’ll make our way through a few rolls of 35mm film. In the end, you’ll get beautiful, nostalgic looking pictures that feel like going through an old photo book, and take you right back to the great time we had creating them.

  • Instant polaroid photography lets us capture those unreplicable, unplanned, unexpected moments only instant film can embody. We take a few packs of polaroids and then I take them home and scan them in high resolution and mail them back to you within two weeks. Polaroid photography is the opposite of Digital photography. It is imperfect, grungy and allows this Seattle film photographer to make instant art and images that can’t be copied. Perfect for your fridge.

  • You remember the feeling of sitting together and watching home movies? Let’s bring it back with some dreamy Super 8 footage. I know what you’re thinking–”that's not photography,” and you’re right. Super 8 is groovy, cropped-off, lo-fi motion film that’ll capture the moment and the vibe in a way you’ll want to watch over and over and over. And now you can!
