Motion coverage for couples who want their wedding remembered
the way it actually felt. Not a recap video — just the real
atmosphere of the day in motion.
MY PHILOSOPHY
The Best Day of
Your Fucking Life
There’s something about seeing a wedding in motion that photographs alone can’t fully capture.
The way the room sounds during dinner. The way your friends cheer when you walk back down the aisle. The chaos of the dance floor when the music gets loud, and the champagne starts flowing.
Film holds onto those moments
My approach isn’t about creating a polished production.
It’s about documenting the atmosphere of the day — the quiet, emotional, imperfect moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.
Film simply lets those moments breathe a little longer.
What I Do
SUPER 8 FILM
Super 8 is nostalgic, imperfect, and full of movement. The grain, light leaks, and softness of the film make it feel more like a memory than a traditional wedding video.
This format works beautifully for couples who want something emotional and artistic without the feeling of a full video production.
Most Super 8 wedding films include several rolls of film throughout the day and are edited into a short highlight that captures the atmosphere, energy, and personality of the celebration.
Most couples invest between $5,000 and $10,000 in Super 8 coverage.
16mm FILM
16mm film has a cinematic depth that feels timeless and elevated. The larger film format creates richer texture, color, and movement while still keeping the organic feel of analog film.
This is the format many filmmakers use for documentaries and independent films, which is why it carries such a distinctive look.
16mm works beautifully for couples who want their wedding documented in a way that feels intentional, artful, and truly one-of-a-kind.
Most 16mm films begin around $7,000, depending on coverage and film stock.
Digital Cinema
Digital filmmaking allows for longer coverage, more cameras, more filmmakers, full audio, and a more complete documentary record of the day.
These films are typically edited into a short highlight that reflects the emotional rhythm of the wedding while still capturing important moments like vows and speeches.
Digital coverage is often chosen by couples hosting larger celebrations or multi-day wedding weekends.
Full digital filmmaking begins around $15,000.
Most couples invest between $6,000–$20,000
Depending on the format and coverage.

BOOKING
Once you’ve signed and your date is secured, we’ll make it official. From there, we’ll talk through how motion will integrate into the flow of your wedding day coverage and into the blend of formats.
Wedding Questionnaire
A few months before your wedding, you’ll receive an in-depth questionnaire covering everything from family dynamics to shot preferences. It helps me know what matters most to you — so you don’t have to think about it on the day.
CREATIVE CONSULT
About a month before the wedding, we’ll hop on a creative call to talk through lighting, timing, mood, and what you’re most excited about. It’s also when we’ll fine-tune your photo timeline so you feel grounded heading into the day
WEDDING DAY
My approach is documentary and unobtrusive.
I move through the day quietly, capturing movement, atmosphere, and the small moments that often pass by unnoticed.
FILM PROCESSING + CURATION
After your wedding, your film is sent to the lab for developing and scanning—the part where all the magic and grain come to life. Once it’s back, I carefully edit every moment.
FINAL FILES
After your wedding, you’ll receive your full gallery of high-resolution films and deliverables, ready for download and printing.
FILM OPTIONS
Super 8, 16mm, and digital filmmaking each bring a different texture to the final film. Super 8 feels nostalgic and imperfect, 16mm is cinematic and rich, and digital allows for longer coverage and audio. Many couples choose a mix to create a film that feels both timeless and immersive.
HEIRLOOM PRINT CREDIT
Starting in 2026, every couple receives a print credit because your story deserves to live beyond the screen. Selected still frames from your wedding film can be turned into a printed album — a way to hold small moments from the film in your hands.
Seattle Wedding Film FAQs
-
Yes. Super 8 wedding films are one of my most requested motion formats for couples who want a nostalgic, home-movie aesthetic woven into their wedding story.
-
Super 8 has a softer, nostalgic look while 16mm produces a sharper, more cinematic image. Both are shot on real motion picture film and professionally developed after the wedding.
-
Yes. Many couples combine photography with motion coverage so they receive both still images and a short wedding film.
-
Absolutely. I regularly photograph and film weddings throughout Washington, the San Juan Islands, and destination locations.
-
Most wedding films are edited into a 3–5 minute highlight film designed to capture the emotional atmosphere of the day rather than simply documenting events chronologically.
Some couples choose to add longer documentary-style edits as well, such as a full ceremony, full toasts, or additional footage from the day. Every wedding is a little different, so the final collection of films can be tailored depending on what feels most meaningful to you.
-
Audio can absolutely be included depending on the film collection you choose.
For many Super 8 and 16mm films, the focus is on atmosphere, movement, and the visual rhythm of the day. But for couples who want to hear their vows, ceremony, or speeches woven into the film, professional audio recording can be incorporated as well.
Some collections include full ceremony or toast recordings, while others focus purely on the visual storytelling of the day. We can talk through what feels most meaningful to you when planning your coverage.
-
Most wedding films are delivered within 8–16 weeks, depending on the format and time of year. Film formats require additional time for developing, scanning, and editing before the final film is created.
-
Absolutely. I regularly travel for weddings throughout Washington, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. Travel logistics are simply incorporated into the overall collection, depending on location.
-
Yes. I work alongside photographers all the time and coordinate closely with them throughout the day. Because my approach is documentary and unobtrusive, filming typically integrates very naturally into the flow of the day without interrupting the experience for you or your guests.
-
Yes. Some couples choose to create a short engagement film before the wedding as a way to announce their engagement, share their story, or simply document this season of life together.
These films are usually filmed in a meaningful location and can be shot on Super 8, 16mm, or digital, depending on the look you want. They’re often shared with family, posted online as a wedding announcement, or even played during the rehearsal dinner or reception.
It’s a beautiful way to document the beginning of the story before the wedding day arrives.
-
Absolutely. Many couples choose to include parts of their wedding weekend in their film coverage — whether that’s a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or time spent together with family before the wedding day.
These moments often end up being some of the most meaningful parts of the celebration: friends arriving from out of town, long dinners, toasts, and the relaxed atmosphere before everything begins.
Filming parts of the weekend can add a lot of depth to the final film and create a more complete record of the experience.
